Programs of the Imperial Court de San Diego

The Imperial Court de San Diego, Inc., (ICSD) is one of a North American partnership of charitable, tax-exempt, nonprofit organizations that is dedicated to promoting empowerment of people, continued support to local communities, and respect for cultural diversity.
The California, non-profit charitable organization (under the IRS 501(C)(3) code), focuses its funding on committed, grassroots organizations that rely strongly on volunteer efforts and where the organization's support will make a significant difference.
The ICSD is an international partnership - the International Court System - of over 65 individual social and community service organizations bound together in shared structure, policies and goals, with over 4,600 constituents serving Canada, Mexico and The United States of America.

The Harvey Milk / NMR Student Scholarship Fund

The Student Scholarship Program was founded in 1979 to assist area students achieve their goals of vocational, technical or professional careers.

Many recipients of the Scholarship have gone on to become lawyers, teachers and prominent business leaders, able to contribute to the San Diego lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community in ways they could not have done otherwise.

The Imperial Court de San Diego is the trustee of the Student Scholarship Program and raises the funds needed for scholarships.

Since its inception, the Program has given over $200,000 in scholarships.

The Tijuana AIDS Fund

For over 20 years. The Imperial Court  has been a strong and constant supporter of the HIV/AIDS community of Tijuana, Mexico under the leadership of Nicole Murray Ramirez.

This fund not only provides financial assistance to various AIDS agencies in Tijuana, it has also donated medicine, body bags and other essential items including a new oven, refrigerator and heaters for The Tijuana AIDS Hospice.

This fund currently supports the programming and activities of Casa de Luz.

The Benjamin F. Dillingham III Community Grant

Established in July of 2000, The Benjamin F Dillingham III Community Grant has given over $100,000 in financial assistance and made a difference for many in our community.

The Dillingham Grant has provided financial assistance for medical expenses and burial expenses ($500).

The Benjamin F Dillingham III Community Grant has also made financial contributions to The LGBT Youth Center, Community AIDS Partnership,  Gay Youth Alliance, Servicemembers Legal Defense Network and The Community Coalition of North County.

The Toni Atkins Lesbian Health Fund

The Fund was started as The Lesbian Health Project and us further proof of The Imperial Court's commitment to Lesbian Health issues.

The Toni Atkins Lesbian Health Fund (named in honor of former Deputy Mayor Toni Atkins) by The Imperial Court and The LGBT Community Center to assist low-income and uninsured lesbians and bisexual women in accessing necessary health care resources.
